Position- a means of identifying where an organization locates itself relative to its environment. Hence strategy’s importance is to be sensitive to and understand the relationship between the organization and its environment.

Perspective- here strategy is interpreted as the manner in which the business world is perceived and understood. A perspective is a guide to action.
